NAPF and HOPE

NAPF and HOPE are partnering with Mission Discovery in South Dakota a week long mission experience, as well as our own NAPF and HOPE experience in the same week June 24 – 30, 2012.

Native Americans have the highest rates of poverty, unemployment and disease of any ethnic group in the United States. South Dakota’s Lakota Indian population lives in some of the poorest communities in the US. Rapid City is home to thousands of Lakota Indians who have moved from the Pine Ridge Reservation in search of a better life. Your Mission Discovery short term mission trip team will reach out to many Native American families, but we will not exclude anyone who has a need that we can meet. You will partner with local churches and ministries to serve forgotten and overlooked residents by repairing and painting run-down homes, hosting children’s bible school, and sharing God’s love with children and adults who need to experience hope. Your team will also have a day to explore the incredible sites in the Black Hills including Mount Rushmore.
